HE is my MASTER

When we experience victory in life, whom do you thank first? Was there an instance when we thought it was all our doing that led to our success? Did it ever cross our minds to think how smart, good and capable we are because we were getting all these blessings?

There are times we want the fame for ourselves. We rob God of the honor and glory that is rightfully HIS. No servant is greater than the master, just as we can never be greater than our God. Everything we possess is only because God allowed us to receive them. We are merely caretakers of the blessings from him.
So next time we feel blessed, let us be reminded to step aside and let people see God as the source of all these blessings. After all, He is the Master.

STOP COMPARING!

We live in a world where merit is important. In school, our intelligence is measure by our grades. In extra-curricular activities, the one who has more talents will get the better role. In some families, children are being compared with one another.

Unfortunately, we tend to carry his mindset even in our work for the Lord and in our striving to be holy. We have a tendency to measure against other people how much we are doing and what we are giving for God. Sometimes, we unconsciously choose to be with people we believe inferior to us so that we are assured of the spotlight. We prefer to be praised than to give praise. In so doing, we are missing the point that we should only compare ourselves to our Lord Jesus Christ. How he had lived his life on earth in perfect obedience to our father in heaven should be our one point of measurement.

Do you compare yourself with others just affirm that you are good?
