Jack's Ridge- Davao, Philippines (I've been there!)

The land on which Jack's Ridge now stand once formed part of the headquarter of the retreating Japanese forces towards the end of the World War II.
Today, more than half a century later, Jack's Ridge is filled with reminders of its historic past. Caves dug by the Japanese pockmark the area, and once in a while people still find bullets and other war materials in the rocky soil.

The newest addition to Davao City skyline, the twin pools give a new dimension to the resort's already excellent facilities. With a fabulous view, the pool gives swimmers completely new experience with water. Plunge in or just float lazily around, relaxing to the refreshing sound of a waterfalls built for your pleasure. There's nothing like it.

Basilica del Sto. Niño ( I've been there! )

It was built purportedly on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño, a sculpture depicting the Holy Child Jesus found by Spanish explorers in 1565 preserved in a burned wooden box which was left behind during the 1521 Magellan expedition.

A museum inside the Basilica showcases the history of Christianity in Cebu. Antique objects are on display, including century-old furniture, priestly vestments and the Santo Nino's old cloaks donated by individuals over the centuries. Religious articles such as statues and relics are also displayed and other items of daily life from the adjacent convento.

Go free

Authored by Rickey Combs

So the traditional working environment isn’t working for me anymore. Lunch breaks and vacation days just don’t make me feel like I’m living in the land of the free. Call me an entitalist if you want, but there are too many options out there for me to sit in front of a desk all day pushing papers for a company that doesn’t know my passions and I certainly don’t share theirs. I feel like I’m staring in my own version of Office Space, but I don’t think the concept is that ridiculous. I’m crafty. I could market something or provide a service for someone without feeling like a slave in a free country. In fact, there are even whole companies out there who specialize in providing communication resources to small businesses. I ran across t1.xo.com/ the other day and was amazed at the possibilities. You can connect to anything anywhere. Tell me why I need to sit in a cubicle all day dreaming of the sun when I can be out in cultivating a productive and flexible lifestyle. I say go free!
