Our Huge House

Guest post written by my buddy Bernardo Graham

My husband and I have moved every two years for the last ten years. At first it was because we were renting and would get sick of a place. Then we started having kids and needed more space all the time. I never thought I would have four children, but here I am with a large family. We just moved into what I hope will be our permanent home. I can’t see needing more space than six bedrooms. We want to take good care of our new home and make sure that we can be happy here for a long time. We did a bunch of repairs before we moved in, and we are putting on the finishing touches now. The house is so big that I know we will need wireless internet lowellso everyone can stay connected. We still need to have the kids pick out the colors they want their walls painted, so that should be fun. I am sure they will want to change them again in a few years, but by then they will probably need a touch up anyways.

Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ Review

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

A few years ago I decided to start a small vegetable garden. I bought a book from an "expert" telling how to build an above ground garden and how to buy all different types of soil and manure, etc that were "supposed to" produce healthy plants and vegetables. Well, it didn't!

I tried buying different things on my own (including regular potting soil mixes) and even though I use a good fertilizer (as recommended) I didn't have much luck with my garden.

Last January I found Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ Concentrated Planting Mix and was really impressed. The soil is rich and easy to work with.

Here's a YouTube video explaining how to properly use this product:

I planted tomatoes and they went crazy! Every day (during the season) my Son and I would pick several delicious, big tomatoes. They were so good! My cucumber really liked the soil too! I had more tomatoes than we could eat so I ended up making homemade stewed tomatoes for the freezer. I did this on a couple of different occasions. I never dreamed my garden could produce this well and the only change I made was the soil. This Miracle-Gro Expand ‘n Gro product yields 3x's the flowers and vegetables that you would get with just native soil. It significantly improves your soil for multiple years. This concentrated planting mix expands up to 3x's when water is added. It feeds for up to 6 months. And all natural fibers hold up to 50% more water than basic potting soil. All of these benefits mean that you use less soil, which is a huge money saver in the long run. What an amazing product!

Expand ‘n GroTM is available at Amazon.com and also at lawn and garden retailers in the Midwest, Northeast and Texas. Please visit expandngro.com for in-store availability information and free sample.Advertisement

Villa de Mercedes is an exclusive residential resort nestled in the hills of Catigan, 535 feet above sea level and just minutes away fro Toril proper in Davao.el and just minutes away fro Toril proper in Davao.

Jack's Ridge- Davao, Philippines (I've been there!)

The land on which Jack's Ridge now stand once formed part of the headquarter of the retreating Japanese forces towards the end of the World War II.
Today, more than half a century later, Jack's Ridge is filled with reminders of its historic past. Caves dug by the Japanese pockmark the area, and once in a while people still find bullets and other war materials in the rocky soil.

The newest addition to Davao City skyline, the twin pools give a new dimension to the resort's already excellent facilities. With a fabulous view, the pool gives swimmers completely new experience with water. Plunge in or just float lazily around, relaxing to the refreshing sound of a waterfalls built for your pleasure. There's nothing like it.

Basilica del Sto. Niño ( I've been there! )

It was built purportedly on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño, a sculpture depicting the Holy Child Jesus found by Spanish explorers in 1565 preserved in a burned wooden box which was left behind during the 1521 Magellan expedition.

A museum inside the Basilica showcases the history of Christianity in Cebu. Antique objects are on display, including century-old furniture, priestly vestments and the Santo Nino's old cloaks donated by individuals over the centuries. Religious articles such as statues and relics are also displayed and other items of daily life from the adjacent convento.
