Clipix is a relatively new social networking site that allows users to create online image collages, then quickly and easily share those collages — called “clipboards” — with other clipix users.
And, what I love is that you can control the privacy settings on your clipboards - so if you want to keep your kid's birthday plans a surprise, you can. You can make your boards private.
It’s fun, easy, addictive and catching on like wildfire right now.
Part of Clipix’s appeal is that it’s beautiful. Enter the lovely world of Clipix, and all the troubles of your day-to-day life just seem to slip away in a stream of perfect little black dresses, baby otters, and cherubic children who never seem to get dirty or mouth off to their parents.
Because it’s image-based, the core of Clipix is awesomely positive. I like to think of Clipix as Facebook without the whining.
You can also clip to Synchboards - where your friends or family can contribute what they find in real time. You can even group multiple boards by category. It is really a great way to get organized.
They even have an iPhone app!
The human instinct to collect things--be it baseball cards, miniature spoons, or teacups--is as old as stuff itself. But it took clipix to perfect this process online. So no wonder it’s having a moment.
